Spitball!
Kent M. Beeson (aka KZA aka The Urban Shockah) and his long-time screenwriting partner Martin McClellan (aka Burley Grymz) have started a new blog Spitball! on which they will be writing a new screenplay. Every communication about and of the screenplay will take place on this blog. Every new idea, every bit of dialogue and every thrown punch. By the time its all over, they will have a finished screenplay and it will be released into the public domain for anyone to make, modify or ignore at their will. Its already fascinating reading through their initial 50 ideas and watching them try to fight it down to some that really work (so far all I can tell is they seem to be really into prison planets.) Its totally cool seeing these guys try and do something collaborative and unique with a blog, and I can’t wait to see how it turns out.

what a great idea. i have been tossing the idea of doing this for music around for a while but file management and versioning issues would need to be handled. there must be a hip new term invented for this kind of collaborative blogging.
blogaboration
there, i coined it.

Hey–thanks for the shout out! Much appreciated.
We decided on the theme of Prison Planet before we started–an idea with only two words to lead us. Hopefully they’ll lead us somewhere interesting…
