Maybe only to serve as a reminder to react by taking nothing - not even memory - for granted.  It's banal, but sometimes crap you find written on Hallmark greeting cards is the right crap.

		<description>Whenever a shooting like this occurs, I can't help but consider my distance from it, as if by not knowing the locations or the people involved it has little to do with me. But your post is good proof that in a small world, every tragedy and act senseless violence can ripple quite far.</description>
